On the move

Nobody and I mean, nobody wants to read a post about why I haven't posted in forevers. But you know what people will love until the end of time? A good before and after picture!

Nat and I are moving in 6 days (OMG!) and have taken on the task of repainting the house.

Before (OMG. I die.)

Debating if I accomplished a Wet Sand Bliss, or achieved a Chocolate Milk Miss? I think I'm going to love it.

During - Cabinets in progress with my awesome friend Kristi!

Brightening things up from drab to fab!

In the past few weeks while moonlighting as an interior decorator, I've learned I'm pretty awesome. This should totally be my next career path.  Clearly. Just don't ask Kristi or she might tell you how I almost ended up with an unfortunately purple room had I been left to my own devices. Actually, maybe she should be the designer come to think of it.

Julie VS The Neti Pot

I know what you're thinking. "That stupid drunk Night Notes girl gets engaged and suddenly she has no time for night notes, haiku monday or general hilariousness and certainly not reading our blogs because she's too busy planning her gigantic fairy tale perfect wedding. " But I'm here to tell you today, that's not true. I don't even want to plan a thing besides what dress I'm going to wear and if possible I'd only invite like 3 people, so there. Nat and I are moving however, (like a step out of downtown, gasp!) and I have a crazy intense class this semester. Furthermore, there is one set of night notes, but that napkin *mumbled those words at me unintelligible, so they can't be posted.

Anyway, so we had all that sparkly snow which was in cahoots with spring, and now Pollen is all like "YIPPEE Snow! You get some rest. I've got this.  Time to take over torturing the humans like the evil fairy dust that I am!" I adore spring mostly because I hate winter, but I turn into a snotty mess. So far this morning I have had a zyrtec, a good old fashioned benadryl, bereve eye drops, one Zumba class, and a trip to Target to pick up more benadryl, a Vicks vapor inhaler and the infamous NETI POT! (In that order.)

I arrived home from Target and me and that Neti Pot stared each other down. (If you don't know what it is, just YouTube it. Oprah made it a sensation a while back or something. Go ahead, I'll wait.)

......Ok. So that's done. You've just watched a bunch of people giggle for 5 minutes before shooting salt water up their noses out of a plastic blue tea pot. Weird right? Well, I was willing to try anything to get my face to mellow. I set it up and then proceeded to rearrange items on my sink top. I realized I was acting like one of those losers in the videos stalling for time so I hooked it up to my nose and leaned over the sink. It took several seconds to drain through to the other side and it really didn't feel all that bad. Just don't stand up. For the love of god, keep leaning forward! Just trust me on this one.

The results? I felt immediately better for like 30 seconds. Then everything went back to normal and I'm just as in the middle of a vicious allergy attack as I was at 8 o'clock this morning.  I will use it again however. It makes sense that it should work, and possibly better after several uses.

*Bonus to who ever knows which mid to late nineties band sang those lyrics.
